		<description>James, nicely written piece - I even agree with much of it! :) I don&#039;t agree that race wasn&#039;t a factor. Obama himself inserted race into the contest, and, I am quite certin that many, many people voted for him simply because the fact of his race made him an historic choice. (I do not say that to be derisive - a person&#039;s reason is their own, certainly not mine to judge.) I do agree that McCain is and was a class act - my tears came not upon realizing that Obama had won, but upon hearing McCain refer to him as &quot;...my former opponent, my President.&quot; McCain understands better than most of us what it means to truly put Country First. Here&#039;s hoping our new President takes at least that page from McCain&#039;s book.  ~ Janet</description>
