They are in great contrast to the articles in our commercial print press. Reading the newspaper in California today leads to the thought that Americans are for the most part cruel and violent--The Los Angeles Times reports a gang attack on a home, the San Francisco Chronicle reports an old murder case approaching sentencing. But I have just met a good man, Russ Melby, who spends his time putting a little joy and relief into people's lives. What a nice way to start my day, and what a reassurance.
