Most of us probably know Joan Lunden as one of the great hosts of Good Morning America (GMA) from 1980 through 1997. But this famous journalist has several other careers as well, is a working mother of seven, and is a caregiver to her 93 year old mother. With her schedule she undoubtedly understands many of the stresses that women face today. She truly exemplifies today’s modern working woman, always on the move and juggling seventeen things at a time.
Lunden joined GMA as host along with David Hartman in 1980. But that was just prelude to the last 15 years; she’s an award-winning journalist, a New York Times bestselling author, highly sought-after motivational speaker, a successful entrepreneur, and as an Advocate for healthy Lifestyles she is one of America’s most recognized and trusted television personalities. She has the experience and the veracity to be perhaps the most interesting speaker at this year’s SmartTalk in Des Moines. Talk about connecting, educating and inspiring women of all ages with a unique experience! We’re looking forward to what Joan has to share.
There’s still time to get tickets to the next SmartTalk shows at the Des Moines Civic Center –single tickets are now available to the public through the Civic Center ticket office. Hope to see you there!
