October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence (a state level nonprofit organization) has launched a major public awareness campaign. In addition to banners on buses and movie screens, they partnered with novelist Kate Iola to tell the stories of 31 women in the month of October. Maybe you have seen articles in the newspaper or on TV. If you missed any, I provided links below. Visit Iowa Voices Project for more information.

The ICADV also has made available an information card, an awareness poster, and a public service announcement (mp3 file). You can find them all on the ICADV website and I included them here for your convenience.

Let’s each do our part to end violence in intimate relationships. Here’s some ways you can help.
